Competition to seek out the best beards, moustaches

Upcoming facial hair competition welcomes all to strut their best facial hair

A competition devoted to determining the best facial hair returns to Vancouver next week.

Its the third annual contest led by the Vancouver Facial Hair Club, set to take place June 3 at Lamplighter Public House in Gastown.

A panel of five judges will choose the the best of the best in 12 categories of facial hair, including business beard, natural beard, styled moustache and freestyle.

There’s even a category for “fake beards” where anyone can put their crafting skills to the test and create their best artificial moustache or beard.

Judges this year include beard connoisseur and model Isaiah Webb, also known as Incredibeard, and his wife:

This year’s competition will be raising funds for non-profit organization HeadsUpGuys, based out of the University of British Columbia. The organization provides resources and support for men battling depression.
