UPDATED: Walnut Grove Gators take fifth in AAAA Fraser Valley tourney

The Gators had some strong games during the event.

The Walnut Grove Gators finished fifth this year in the AAAA Fraser Valley Senior Boys basketball championships, with the final games held at the Langley Events Centre.

The Gators won their first game on Feb. 16 with a convincing score of 104 to 81 over Yale.

They fell on Feb. 19 to W.J. Mouat in a close 78-75 game.

A 110-72 victory over Guildford Park and a 111-102 win over Pinetree on Feb. 21 and 22 saw them move into play for fifth place. The Gators beat Terry Fox 64-62 on Feb. 25.
