Walnut Grove’s Gators take junior girls basketball championship

The school in North Langley isn’t finished as the AAA girls are in the finals Saturday evening.

Walnut Grove Secondary’s junior girls team is the tops in B.C.

On Saturday afternoon, the team defeated Surrey’s Fraser Heights 61-54 at the Langley Events Centre.

The B.C. junior, AA and AAA girls championships started Wednesday in Langley and wrap up this evening when Walnut Grove’s senior Gators take on Kelowna at 5 p.m.
