The 11th annual Langley School District Foundation golf tournament on Aug. 31 will help local students eat healthier.
The proceeds will help fund the foundation’s new Garden to Table program where schools will build greenhouses and grow gardens. The items grown will be used in the schools so students learn about food from the ground up.
The tourney’s tailgate party starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Redwoods Golf Course. The shotgun start is at 11:30 a.m. and dinner is slated for 5:30 p.m.
The cost is $195 per person. That gets a golfer a day on the links, the tailgate party, a barbecue dinner, prizes, contest, snacks and a silent auction. Learn more about the tournament and the foundation at langleyschooldistrictfoundation.com.
