Gators, Bobcats compete in basketball tournament

Two Langley teams competed, but it would be the Gators who would become champs.

The Walnut Grove Gators Senior Girls became champions at the Howard Tsumura Basketball Invitational at the LEC this weekend.

The senior girls team defeated the Abbotsford Panthers 75-65 in the final game Saturday.

Gator Jessica Wisotzki was named tournament MVP.

Brookswood’s Bobcats came in ninth, beating South Kamloops in their final game.
