It was a damp day, but that didn’t stop more than 520 runners from finishing one of the Fort Langley Historic Half Marathon routes Sunday morning.
“It started out a nice day, and then there was rain at the end,” said organizer Mitchell Hudson.
The route began in the Fort Langley National Historic Site, and then wound through and around the village and as far away as Telegraph Trail.
This year was the first year that the run will benefit a local charity – the Langley Hospice Society.
“I hope it’s going to be a long-term relationship,” Hudson said of the partnership.
The run included a full half marathon, as well as 5K and 10 K courses across shorter nearby routes.
