Angels on Ice at Langley Sportsplex

The spotlight shone on female hockey at the Langley Sportsplex just before the new year.

The annual Angels on Ice Tournament, held Dec. 27-30 at the Walnut Grove rink, attracted 39 teams from around the Lower Mainland, as well as one entry from Prince George, with more than 500 girls hockey players ranging in age from five to 19 taking part over the four days.

The host Langley Lightning won first place in the Midget C1 and Peewee C1 divisions.
