Thirty-nine-year-old Christopher Russell Schafer failed to return to his halfway house on Dec. 10.

Christopher Russell Schafer was arrested Wednesday without incident.

The VPD are searching for a high-risk offender wanted Canada-wide.

Thirty-nine-year-old Christopher Russell Schafer has an extensive criminal history and is on a long-term supervision order after serving time for break-and-enter, sexual assault, uttering threats and assaulting a police officer.

He failed to return to his halfway house on December 10th and a Canada-wide warrant has now been issued for his arrest.

Schafer is described as Aboriginal, 5’8” tall, 168 lbs., black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of “WANDA LEE” on the left side of his neck.

Anyone who sees Christopher Schafer, or has information on his whereabouts, is asked to call 9-1-1 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
