Langley Township deals with sink hole on major route

The Township expects to have the road open by noon Friday.

Langley Towship is asking motorists to reroute around 200th Street near 69th Avenue as crews work to fix a sink hole that appeared July 21.

The public is being asked to use 196th Street or 203rd Street while the remediation takes place.

The Township is calling this a “road surface failure” caused by a damaged storm sewer pipe.

The road will be reduced to one-lane traffic in both directions until further notice.

Work is expected to continue through the afternoon and evening.
