The Langley RCMP investigate quite a few thefts, but this time they’re trying to return money to someone who lost it in Aldergrove.
The cash was found in a stack of recycling bags left at a local gas station. It was turned in at the Aldergrove Community Police Office, said Cpl. Holly Marks of the Langley RCMP.
Police would like to find the rightful owner. They are asking that person to come forward, and to describe the amount of cash, the denominations, and the container in which it was found.
To claim the cash, contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
Every time found cash or valuable items are located and the police seek owners, there are a few people who try to pretend it belongs to them, said Marks. That is why police are asking for some info before handing anything over.
