Langley emergency crews went to the Derby Reach Park’s river-front campground late Tuesday afternoon for reports of an explosion and potential brush fire with a man having sustained burns.

The RCMP were called in because gun powder was reportedly involved.

A neighbour told the Langley Advance he hear a loud bang and smelled gun powder.
