Surrey RCMP say one man was stabbed and a second man suffered ‘other injuries’ in Friday night incident

Police say one man remains in hospital Monday, Jan. 8 after a stabbing in Fleetwood Friday night.

Two men were hurt in the incident and both are expected to survive, according to Surrey RCMP.

Police were called to a report of a stabbing in the 9600-block of 168th Street at approximately 11:05 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5.

Upon arrival, officers located a man “suffering from a stab wound” and a second man suffering from “other injuries,” according to an RCMP news release distributed an hour and a half after the incident.

“Officers are speaking to witnesses to obtain information,” the release noted. “At this time it is too early to say what may have resulted in this incident.”
