Downtown Langley is getting the full treatment from CBC Radio on Friday, Jan. 24.
Rick Cluff and the Early Edition gang will start the day, “dark and early,†5:30-8:30 a.m., in Langley City, broadcasting from the newly-renovated McBurney’s Coffee and Tea House.
CBC reporter Jesse Johnston will be there to chat about local issues in the community. The show will involve a number of prominent local citizens, including former Langley City mayor and now B.C. Education Minister Peter Fassbender, and also Langley City Councillor and Downtown Langley Business Association executive director Teri James.
CBC’s On the Coast, with host Stephen Quinn, will pick up the thread at McBurney’s again at 3:10 p.m., right after the 3 p.m. news broadcast.
The afternoon show, running to 6 p.m., will include discussions of some of Langley’s hot-button issues with Langley Advance editor Bob Groeneveld and others.
Adding to the entertainment will be local band Factories & Alleyways.
