A day on the links will help feed local students.
The 12th annual Langley School District Foundation golf tournament is Aug. 30 and supports the foundation’s food programs.
The district has embarked on a mission to feed any hungry children in local public schools so they can learn.
The goal is $50,000 annually to provide nutritious breakfasts and lunches to any students who need them.
The foundation would also like to have a garden to table program where schools build greenhouses and gardens to let students grow and harvest food.
Sign up at langleyschooldistrictfoundation.com. The cost is $195 per golfer and the tournament is at the Redwoods Golf Course in Walnut Grove. The day includes a tailgate party, dinner, prizes, contests and a silent auction.
