Langley is a natural resource of green spaces, waterways, and living wonders. Three events are scheduled on Saturday, July 25 to help families take advantage of the outdoor entertainment available in their own community.

Solar powered skies
The Royal Astronomical Society will be at Campbell Valley Regional Park on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. with solar telescopes.
Look through these special telescopes to learn about the sun and astronomical phenomena, but they only work under clear skies. If Saturday is cloudy, the solar activity will be cancelled but guests are welcome to visit the Campbell Valley Nature House.
The Nature House, located at 20285 8th Ave. at the south park entrance is the meeting place for the activity as well as a source of information for those wishing to explore the park.

Get on and ride
Ride alongside the scenic Fraser River in a guided bike tour of riverside trails and greenways on Saturday from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Derby Reach Regional Park.
This all-ages group bike ride is open to those who can ride 10 to 15 kilometres. Travel will be on gravel trails to take in the riverside scenery.
Attendees must bring their own bike, helmet, tire patch kit and drinking water, and are asked to arrive 10 minutes early to check in and get prepared for the ride.

Teach a kid to fish
Kids aged seven to 15 are invited to learn about fish and fishing techniques at Derby Regional Park in partnership with the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC on Saturday from 10 a.m to noon.
All equipment is provided.
Adults must accompany children and this event is by $5 suggested donation per child.
Meet at Edgewater Bar, west of the campground in the park to explore fishing along the Fraser River.
