Joseph Breland began playing the lottery around the time of Expo ’86.
It’s finally paid off after the Langley man won Set for Life and a total of $675,000.
“I honestly felt bewildered,” laughed Breland. “I haven’t slept very much since winning. I still can’t believe it.”
Breland won $15 playing the lottery on his birthday and decided to use that money to buy more tickets, which included the winner.
“I’ll share the money with my family, and I’ve picked out charities to donate to,” said Breland.
He picked up the ticket at the Walnut Grove Town Pantry. Set for Life is the Scratch & Win game that offers players the chance to win a top prize of $1,000 a week for 25 years.
