Langley environmental group hosts annual Blackberry Bakeoff

The Blackberry Bakeoff drew hungry people to the Langley Demonstration Garden Aug. 18.

The sun was hot, but that didn’t stop people from lining up to sample the goodies at the Aug. 18 Blackberry Bakeoff at the Langley Demonstration Garden.

The annual event turns local blackberries into delicious baked sweets and savouries, while bringing awareness to the problem of the blackberry as an invasive species.
