Baker family aided by fundraiser

Sean Baker

A fundraiser is being organized for the head of Langley’s animal shelter after the sudden death of his wife.

Nicola Baker, a teacher at Earl Marriott Secondary, passed away in her sleep June 6. The mother of four was 38. Her husband, Sean Baker, is well known in Langley as the head of the Langley Animal Protection Society.

Local supporters of the family have organized a fundraising dinner, with three sittings, at the Trading Post Brewing Tap House and Eatery for July 13. Tickets are available at the Patti Dale Animal Shelter, at J.D. Farms, and at the Trading Post Brewing Tap House.
