The War of 1812 was acted out by re-enactor Ben Buckingham at the Fort Langley National Historic Site (FLNHS) over the weekend. Buckingham plays the role of fictional British soldier Charles Manley. The War of 1812: Memoirs of a Young Soldier is acted out at the FLNHS Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until Aug. 26. It starts off with a noon-hour gun demonstration.
