Langley Christian Elementary School assistant principal Jenny deGroot travelled with four Grade 11 students to Limpopo Province, South Africa, where they spent three weeks living among the Vende people at Gondolikhethwa.

Cindy Ruiter, parent of one of the students slipped a Langley Advance into her son's already full suitcase.

The paper travelled three continents and 20 flying hours to get to its destination. Students, pictured with their hosts were Bryce Minke, Joel Kleingeltink, Chris Ruiter, and Alex Roersma.
