While there is a large gap in age between two Langley FC girls teams, they are bonded by a love for soccer.

The U16 Knockouts had a mentoring session with the U8 Dragons on Thursday, Nov. 1.

"Earlier in the year we spoke about having our team mentor a younger LFC team, but what we didn't know was that there was already an LFC U8 team watching our success this year," noted Knockouts head coach Peter Silva. "It was amazing to watch these older girls hang out [with] and mentor these younger ladies."

The Knockouts gave each young Dragon a T-shirt and that was followed by the older players signing the backs of those shirts.

"It was an amazing experience to see these girls transform throughout the session and become so close by the end," Silva said.

The Dragons have also been invited to the Knockouts' home games until the end of the season.
