Some words seem like they shouldn't go together - like cancer and Christmas.

But a local family uses the festive lights and decorations of the holidays to help fundraise for the fight against the disease.

On Dec. 22, the Cannons held their annual Cops for Cancer gathering.

The family has decorated the yard for Christmas for the past few years, calling the display The Christmas-a-holic Cannons. This was the third year the family held a special event to support Cops for Cancer.

This year's festivities included treats, a silent auction, visits from Santa, and a pie eating contest.
