Langley gymnasts went to Florida to prove their mettle. and came home with medals to prove it.
Eighteen athletes from Langley Gymnastics Foundation went to Orlando, Florida, for the Whitlow Sanddollar Invitational competition.
LGF technical director Dumitru Avarvarei's said the Orlando experience proved beneficial for all of the athletes and coaches attending.
"Competing internationally at this calibre of event," Avarvarei said, "allows LGF's athletes to gain valuable new experience, and to establish where they stand on the highly competitive international levels."
He added that it was "also a great opportunity for LGF's athletes and coaches to meet and learn from their peers from many clubs and countries, who approach gymnastics with a different view."
LGF's athletes' strong showing included medal finishes in numerous categories, including gold.
