Hillary Metcalfe was one speedy swimmer at the 2013 Speedo Western Canadian Championships.
The Langley Olympians Swim Club member won silver in the women's 15 & under 50m breaststroke and 200m breaststroke to go along with bronze medals in the 100m breaststroke and 200m IM at the meet, held over four days at the Shaw Centre in Saskatoon.
She also set new club records in the 50m breaststroke in 32.83 seconds and 200m breaststroke with a time of 1: 11.99.
The 14-year-old Metcalfe and a select group of her teammates were at a meet that attracted 500 of the top swimmers from Western Canada.
The age groups were 15 & under for women and 16 & under for men in the youth category and 16 & over for women and 17 & over in the open category.
All the swimmers in attendance had to achieve qualifying times in order to compete at this prestigious meet.
