The BC Games have more than three decades of history, and some of that history is on display at the Langley Township Civic Facility.

The public can head to the fourth floor and see items in the display case outside the Fraser River Presentation Theatre to see several pieces from previous Games.

The memorabilia will be on display through the Games which run July 22-25.

The display includes medals and a program from the first ever BC Summer Games, which were held in Penticton back in 1978.

A jacket, pins, flag, and other items have also been compiled from Summer Games held in places such as Chilliwack and Coquitlam over the past three decades.

As well, a leather and cork-bound book featuring newspaper clippings, photographs, and descriptions of the various events from the first BC Summer Games is also available for viewing in the Corporate Administration on the fourth floor.
