The Aldergrove Kodiaks are on a mini roll as they continue to strengthen their hold on second place in the Pacific Junior Hockey League's Harold Brittain Conference.
The junior B squad won its third straight game after a 5-2 triumph over the host North Delta Devils Saturday at Sungod Arena in Delta.
Aldergrove led 1-0 after the first period on a goal from Kenny Prato.
Ryan Veillet, Spencer McHaffie, and Adam Callegari scored 1: 39 apart early in the second period to put the Kodiaks ahead 4-0 before North Delta's Matthew Painchaud spoiled Aldergrove netminder Cole MacInnes's shutout bid.
Callegari's second of the night, 47 seconds after Painchaud's goal, restored the Kodiaks' four-goal cushion.
North Delta's Tanner Lenting netted the only goal of the third period to round out the scoring.
The Kodiaks - now 13-11-0-1 - will look to extend their win streak to four tomorrow (Wednesday, Dec. 12) when they host the Tom Shaw Conference-leading Richmond Sockeyes at Aldergrove Arena. Game time is 7: 15 p.m.
