The most notorious brother act in hockey history and one of the game's most respected referees will be at the George Preston Recreation Centre (GPRC).
The Hanson Brothers from the 1977 movie classic Slap Shot are bound to stir things up when the Lower Mainland Law Enforcement team takes on the Vancouver Police Union Hockey squad for charity.
The Battle of the Badges, featuring the Hansons and retired NHL referee Kerry Fraser, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 at the GPRC.
Fraser's job is to keep the Hansons and the law enforcement teams in line.
The Hansons - Jack (Dave Hanson), Steve (Steve Carlson) and Jeff (Jeff Carlson) - haven't changed over the past 33 years, since Slap Shot vaulted them into hockey immortality.
Charity scores, as a portion of the proceeds will go to Covenant House.
Online discount tickets are available for $20 each, two for the price of one. Visit www.iMarktickets.com and use the promo code, SLAPSHOT
