Lew Grant, pictured filing down a horse's hoof at New Kells Farm in Aldergrove, is the official farrier for Thunderbird Show Park's hunter/jumper shows, and has worked for the Tidball family since 1987. Asked what he enjoys most about his occupation, Grant, who has 35 years of experience in the trade, said while laughing, "Being outside." Of the animals he works with he said, "I like a good horse, but there are lots of them that are not so likeable."
