Grace MacInnes is part of the team based out of Abbotsford.
A curling team that includes a Langleyite will be going for the 2013 national women's title come January 2013.
Third Grace MacInnes from Langley is on one of three teams that have qualified for the 2013 Scotties BC Women's Curling Championship presented by Best Western.
The teams earned their spot at the event after successfully competing in the second of three women's qualification events which took place at the North Shore Winter Club in North Vancouver Nov. 30 to Dec. 2.
The BC Scotties, which get underway at the Cloverdale Curling Club Jan. 14-20, will feature the top 10 women's teams in the province.
The teams who have recently qualified hail from across the province.
Team MacInnes, made up of skip Allison MacInnes (Kamloops), MacInnes, second Diane Gushulak (Vancouver) and lead Jacalyn Brown (Port Moody), were the A event qualifiers.
Their home rink is the Abbotsford Curling Club where their coach, Ken MacDonald, is the manager.
Team Sanders from the Juan De Fuca Curling Club is made up of Canadian Curling Hall of Fame skip Pat Sanders (Victoria), third Sarah Wark (Shawnigan), second Kim McLandress (Chilliwack) and lead Janelle Erwin (Nanaimo).
Fifth Simone Brosseau lives in Victoria, while coach Roselyn Craig lives in Duncan.
Team Groundwater from Williams Lake Curling Club were the C qualifiers. Simone Groundwater, skip, and her third Laura Ball and lead Cindy Brady, all of whom hail from Williams Lake. Second Mallory Sandhu is from Surrey.
The teams will join defending champion Kelly Scott's team (Kelowna) at the event in Surrey.
They will also be joined by Canadian Team Ranking System (CTRS) points winners Team Mallett, from the Cloverdale Curling Club.
The other three teams to have earned berths are Team Richter from the Royal City Curling Club in New Westminster, Team Knezevic from the Prince George Golf & Curling Club, and Team Kuhn from the Vernon Curling Club.
The final two teams will come from a third qualification event taking place in Prince George Dec. 14-16.
The winner of 2013 Scotties BC Women's Curling Championship presented by Best Western will represent B.C. at the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts Canadian Women's Curling Championship in Kingston, Ont. from Feb. 16-24, 2013.
