Eagles soar to Summerland tourney win

The Langley midget A3 Eagles won the Sam Hanon Memorial Tournament in Summerland last weekend.

After losing their first game and finishing second in their pool, the Eagles beat the first place team from the other pool, Chilliwack midget A3, 4-3 in overtime.

They went on to beat the Spokane Chiefs 6-0 in the championship game.

Despite the score in the final, all teams in the tournament were quite evenly matched.

Coach Ed Baker said he was quite impressed with his team's performance at its first tournament.

The Langley midget A3 Eagles include Mitchell Ambridge, Sheldon Baker, Mark Balcita, Justin Butler, Ryan Chegwidden, Dylan Geiger, Zach Glendenning, Matt Hall, Isaiah Hanson, Noah Hillsdon, Josh Lagler, Jordan Lazar, Brett Reader, Jordan Roberge, Matt Romero, Calvin Stewart, David Stickney, Jason Wiens, and Cole Wynn.
