The Brookswood Secondary Bobcats, undefeated in league play, sit on top of the B.C. Triple A senior girls basketball rankings.
On Tuesday, the 'Cats beat the provincially fifth-ranked Maple Ridge Ramblers 71-44.
The Ramblers are led by Kolbie Orum, who is a starting forward on the national Cadet team.
"Tayla Jackson and Amber Kavanaugh did a very good job against Kolbie, holding her to 13 points and three rebounds," 'Cats coach Neil Brown said.
Offensively, Jackson scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds while Kavanaugh had 14 points and hauled in rebounds. Jessie Brown chipped in 16 points, hitting four three-point shots in the process.
Next up for the Brookswood girls is a game against the Handsworth Royals Friday.
