We live on 64th Avenue in Milner and have lived here for nearly 40 years. Why so many loads of "fill" being deposited on perfectly flat farmland in our area?
We have previously contacted the Township in regard to the noise that has been going on for over two years. We were informed that one land owner has a permit to bring in 600 loads of fill.
Since the initial inquiry, trucks have continued to bring in fill for more than two years.
These trucks run a minimum of one load every five minutes, therefore approximately 20 loads per hour. They work approximately six hours per day at an average of six days per week.
There are 52 weeks in a year and these trucks have been working for more than two years. To keep things on the conservative side, we'll say just two years.
Based on these numbers that would equate to approximately 74,880 loads - and climbing - to date that have been hauled in.
Who issued this permit and why? When is this ever going to stop?
What are the owners of this "farmland" planning to do with this land after the process is completed, assuming it eventually comes to an end?
