The local charity Kids Can Help raised $841.40 at a coin drive at Thunderbird Shopping Centre recently, bringing the group's total since June to $2,307.99. The goal this year is $20,000. They raised about $15,300 last year. Kids Can Help has donated to cancer charities as well as the BC Children's Hospital. Members - all kids - get together and plan fundraising events such as bottle drives, a car wash, a talent show, and garage sales. Young people interested in joining or finding out more can contact Sean Thomas at firstname.lastname@example.org. The group meets Sept. 22 at the W.C. Blair Recreation Centre at 2: 50 p.m.
