Test drivers who tried out some local Ford cars will help out kids at Douglas Park Community School in Langley City.
On Saturday, Dams Ford Lincoln held a Drive One 4 Ur School.
Dams has done this project before, but this is the first time it will aid students in Langley City.
Every test drive results in a cash donation to the school's Community School Society.
Dams brought eight cars, ranging from a Focus Electric up to an F350.
Herv Bezjak, a member of the school society lobbied for the event to come here.
"Herv was persistent," said Amber Jackson of Dams.
Tim Lounsbury, president of the school society said a good portion of the money will go towards assessments for students having difficulties with school work.
Evaluations for things such as ADHD or autism spectrum issues. With an evaluation, students become eligible for more help as they move on, and they can hopefully graduate.
But getting evaluations can be an expensive or difficult process.
Several of those coming by for the test drives brought classic cars, such as Riccardo Sestito's 1965 Mustang.
