Zipper can really zip. Julia Beaton's eight-year-old Papillon was one of the more minute canines involved in the 2013 BC/Yukon Regional Agility Championships, held over the weekend at Langley's Thunderbird Show Park.
Zipper is one of 12 dogs from Little Paws Rescue Society living with Beaton (eight she has adopted permanently, and four she is fostering while looking for forever homes).
Beaton, who co-founded Little Paws in 1998, adopted Zipper when he was four-and-a-half. Zipper's previous owner was working 12-hour days on some occasions and didn't have the time ance.com to give his canine companion the attention it needed.
Beaton put Zipper into dog agility training so he could burn off some of his seemingly endless energy.
"He has so much drive, I decided to put it to good use," she said. "He lives for it."
