A man survived being thrown from his car and was found standing up after a rollover accident on the highway in Aldergrove Monday night.

At about midnight on Feb. 20, a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am was westbound near the 248th Street overpass when it crashed, said RCMP Sgt. Peter Thiessen.

When emergency crews arrived, they found that the driver and sole occupant of the car, an adult man, had been thrown from the wreck.

He was found with significant, but not life-threatening, cuts to the left side of his chest. He was walking near the scene of the crash.

Both speed an alcohol are suspected causes of the crash, said Thiessen.

Anyone who saw the crash and has not spoken to the police is being urged to call Const. Gagnon at 604-526-9744.
