Langley RCMP's Serious Crimes Unit continues its investigation of a stabbing early Sunday morning in Aldergrove.

At about 1 a.m. on Jan. 13 the RCMP was called to assist the BC Ambulance Service when it was called to a medical case.

Langley Const. Craig van Herk said the incident involved a man found stabbed outside on a street in the 27000 block of Fraser Highway.

"We don't have the victim's identity confirmed as yet," he said.

The man was in bad shape at the time, needing to be airlifted to hospital for treatment.

Information is not available about how the man came to be on a public street with stab wounds. Van Herk said more details will be released as police work through their investigation.
