Two people were seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident in Langley Tuesday afternoon that also knocked out power to about 2,500 BC Hydro customers.
Langley RCMP said the two-vehicle accident happened at about 5:30 p.m. at Robertson Crescent and 256 Avenue and that an extraction device was used to free the injured.
BC Hydro spokesman Greg Alexis said one of the vehicles struck a hydro pole, knocking out power to about 2,500 customers in the area around the Fraser Highway north of 16th Avenue and south of 56th Avenue.
However, most customers had power restored by about 6:30 p.m., with the rest expected to have power later Tuesday night.
