Two men were in custody Friday afternoon for breaching a firearms prohibition.
Acting on a tip, members of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC (CFSEU-BC) arrested four people near 90th Avenue and 204th Street in Walnut Grove.
Two of the men were released without charges at the scene, said spokesperson Sgt. Lindsey Houghton. The other two men have been remanded in custody.
Those men, 25- and 31-years-old both of no fixed address, faces charges of allegedly breaching their firearms prohibition orders and firearms-related offences related to previous possession of firearms.
Both are known to police and have gang ties, Houghton said.
“They are being held in custody, pending charges.”
