The area around 264th Street and Robertson Crescent is closed due to a fatal crash.

The Langley RCMP Traffic Services are currently on the scene.

The collision was reported to police just prior to 5 p.m.

“Two vehicles collided and one individual is confirmed deceased at the scene,” said Langley RCMP Cpl. Holly Marks. “A second individual has sustained serious injuries and British Columbia Ambulance Service is considering staging for the Air Ambulance.”

ICARS (the Integrated Collision Analyst Reconstruction Service) will attend to assist with the investigation.

At this time, police have closed 264 Avenue from 36th through 48th Avenues and motorists are asked to take an alternate route so the investigation can continue.

The circumstances and cause of the collision have not yet been determined.

Police will provide updates as they become available.

Any witnesses who have not already spoken to police are asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
