A young woman was grabbed by an older man near a cemetery in Fort Langley on Halloween, and police are asking for public help to find him.
The 12-year-old was near the main cemetery off St. Andrew's Avenue and Glover Road just after noon on Wednesday, said Cpl. Holly Marks, the spokesperson for the Langley RCMP.
A man came up behind her and grabbed her wrist. The girl screamed and kicked him in the shin, Marks said. The man let go and she ran back to Langely Fine Arts School nearby.
The man is Caucasian, about 6'2" and clean shaven, with a crooked nose, spiky brown hair with grey streaks, and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He may have been wearing a ring.
Marks said the man did not say anything during the incident, and he was not seen getting into a vehicle.
Police are asking people to look at the composite photo and, if they recognize the man, to call the RCMP at 604-532-3200. Anyone who wishes to leave a tip anonymously can call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
