Car slams into senior
A pedestrian suffered broken bones when he was clipped by a car on a Langley side street.

A Langley man is recovering from injuries to his hand and wrist after a hit and run while the ma was walking in Willoughby Thursday evening.
The victim, a 67-year-old, was walking on 197th Street near 78th Avenue just before 7:20 a.m., said Const. Craig van Herk.
The pedestrian was headed south when he saw a car heading north towards him, moving fast.
The man raised his arms and tried to wave at the man to slow down.
The car didn’t slow at all. Instead, it hit the man’s arm, and kept going north.
The victim suffered a broken wrist, a broken finger, and a cut on his hand requiring stitches.
The vehicle is believed to be an older model Chevrolet Cavalier, possibly a two-door.
Van Herk said it is not confirmed, but there may be some damage to the vehicle’s passenger-side windshield.
