One of the most unusual emergency calls received by Langley Township firefighters came in on Thursday: please help rescue a cat stuck in a toilet.

Firefighters headed to Walnut Grove, near 204th Street and 89th Avenue, and were met at the edge of the road by the owner of the home, said assistant chief Bruce Ferguson.

The headed to an upstairs bathroom where the cat was trapped.

"Crew carefully removed feline from toilet bowl and handed to pet owner," reads the fire department's report about the call.

The cat is reportedly fine, said Ferguson.

"That is one of the strangest calls I've had in a long time," Ferguson said.
