An Aldergrove man was headed to court Thursday to face charges after he allegedly committed an indecent act in front of a 12-year-old girl, among others.
The first complaint, which involved the man exposing himself, came to the police came from the young girl in Brookswood. Over the next few months, more complaints were received that were similar.
A Langley RCMP task force including officers from the Serious Crime, Street Enforcement Unit, and General Duty section identified a suspect, then followed and covertly surveilled him for 25 days, said Cpl. Holly Marks, spokesperson for the Langley RCMP.
The officers recorded their suspect committing more indecent acts, police allege.
On June 26, a 34-year-old man was arrested and is now facing several criminal code charges.
He is not thought to be have been well known to local police prior to these alleged incidents.
