Dear Editor,
Two years ago we moved from Walnut Grove to Murrayville to find a larger house for our growing family. One of the compelling reasons for us to leave was the proposed overpass at 216th Street, which our old property backed on to.
Our new house is on 47th Avenue, which is adjacent to the public works yard.
At the time of purchase, We did not think that this would be a problem, because we assumed that the works yard would have alternative access for their vehicles.
It turns out, however, that we have gravel trucks, fire trucks, and public works vehicles all driving down our street seven days a week.
Our street is part of a residential neighbourhood, and we pay our fair share of municipal taxes. I do not see why the municipality cannot make a separate access which does not inconvenience the residents of Murrayville.
It's not like this is a commercial road, and there are many families with kids who reside here and want a safe and noise-free environment to live in.
