META Theatre may be new but it's not pausing to put on a safe production.
Its first show is the story of Moses as performed by three travelling clowns.
Holy Mo will give people a chance to see this new theatre company cofounded by Aaron Caleb and Julia Church as well as see storytelling about Moses like they've never experienced before.
Handling director's duties is Rebecca Jayne while Phil Miguel is the stage manager.
Danielle Spampinato, Nicola Prigge, Jenna Matson are the performers.
Holy Mo runs Oct. 12, 13, 19, and 20. Shows are 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays with 2 p.m. matinees on Saturdays.
The shows are at Living Waters Church, 9095 Glover Rd.
Tickets are $10 for students, $15 for adults, $8 on opening night, $35 for families of four or more and $2 off tickets with groups of 10 or more.
Advance tickets are available through www.metatheatre.ca or brownpapertickets.com, and tickets will be sold (cash only) at the door.
After the production, don't run off. Immediately following performances of Holy Mo there will be face painting and a photo booth, as well as concessions.
Proceeds are going to a special cause. Spampinato will be moving to Bangladesh in spring 2013 to work with children/youth in the capital city of Dhaka.
