The Aldergrove Community Thrift Store has a new home.

The store, which raises money for the Gateway of Hope shelter, outgrew its storefront on Fraser Highway at about 271st Street.

It's now in the former Fields department store on 272nd Street and is accepting donations.

"They are in need of donations," noted City Councillor Gayle Martin, the City's Gateway representative.

The store welcomes donations and wants to increase its offerings of furnishings.

For information about the Gateway of Hope, call 514-7375. Contact the store at 604-381-0055 about donating goods. All donations should be in sellable condition.

The store will accept clothing, housewares, small household goods, and small appliances. The store can't take full-size furniture, full-size appliances (stoves, washers, dryers, etc.) and electronics.

The store's grand opening is Nov. 10 and its hours will be Monday through Saturday.
