Taxpayers insulted by advertising

Dear Editor,

Does anything infuriate you more than those high-priced 'Jobs Plan' BC Liberal ads on primetime TV, paid by tax dollars?

The strategy is to state the exact opposite of screw-ups in their disastrous 11-year reign of incompetency.

"Unstable government policies have hurt people around the world." The BC Liberals are the epitome of this, as they have ruined our province, like the 2009 $1.2-billion fudge-it-budget, the doubled $64-million in government advertising, 24 closed courthouses, 10 jails closed, 176 schools, crisis-a-week mismanagement, rudderless musical-chair rotating ministers, etc.

"Big Government, careless spending, and quick fixes have caused economies to collapse." Do they mean like running up the debt to $55 billion, the BC Rail/ Basi/Virk scandal, the $3 billion HST debacle, the bankrupting ruination of our once pride-of-B.C. ferries (now $1.6 billion in debt), or using ICBC as an ATM, extracting $927 million and driving our insurance rates up 11.2 per cent?

"But British Columbia is standing strong by controlling government spending, low taxes, and investing in skills training." Do they mean ruining our crown jewel BC Hydro with $51 billion of debt plus $96 billion of con? Or driving our electricity rates up 55 per cent in five years? The $1 billion unnecessary Smart Meters hoax? Is the $1 billion annual carbon tax low?

Oh, and we train people in Germany and Holland in shipbuilding skills, then import foreign workers to work our resource industry, or at less-skilled jobs like policing, that are too difficult to train.

Outrageous insulting lies. but of course, we are the stupid ones.
