Swap meet offers up bargains

The post-show sale brings together buyers and sellers for trinkets or whole vehicles

What can you get at the Sunday swap meet that follows Saturday's Good Times Cruise-In?

What can't you get. "There's everything from car parts to memorabilia to vehicles," said Cruise-In director Audrey Stebanuk. "Anything automotive-related."

The swap meet caters mostly to smaller companies and individual sellers who are moving everything from die-cast model cars to their real big brothers and sisters.

Custom and classic cars, as well as those discovered and in need of a little love, will be on the block.

"Barn finds, people call them," said Stebanuk. "A lot of 'project cars.'"

She's not been immune to the lure of the car sales herself.

"Last year, we bought a convertible," she said of the LeMans Tempest.

It costs $20 to get a table at the swap meet, and there were still a few places left with a week to go.

The organizers plan to bring in as many vendors as they can.

"As many as we can jam in there and still leave the walking aisles," said Stebanuk.

The swap meet will be held at Langley's Kwantlen Polytechnic University campus at 20901 Langley Bypass from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 9.
