A new exhibit was unveiled this week at Langley City hall showcasing the talents of several local artists and the work they've accomplished as part of the Langley Art Critique group.
Since 2005, a local group of artists has been meeting the last Monday of the month at the City library (between 7 and 9 p.m.) to have their work evaluated by well-respected art professionals.
Well, many of the artists who have participated in this monthly group, have improved their techniques, learned more about composition and style, and gained a better understanding of art in general.
Now, having applied those new skills to their art, they're prepared to share their finished works with the world.
The show features a variety of mediums capturing a wide range of subject matter, and is presented by the Langley Arts Council as part of its ongoing Art in Found Spaces initiative.
The show will remain on display in the City hall foyer until Jan. 31, at 20399 Douglas Cres. And for more information about the exhibit or critique group, people can contact the arts council at 604-530-3855.
